Rescue - what kind of chicken is it?

This poor thing was found on a door step and given to me to try and save. It has an injured foot and starving. Looks like a juvenile maybe 7 weeks old. What breed is it?

I'll try to post a better picture in the morning. I gave her / him a warm bath. Poor baby was filthy and one foot is injured, possibly broken.

I am not good with identifying some breeds. Some I am. This one I cannot tell much from thr picture.

You are very kind for taking it in! Seeing things about all the chickens that need help makes me want to start up a chicken rescue. I bet the chick enjoyed that bath!

I don't see much of a comb on it and at thst size and fully feathered, a cockerels comb would be prominent, depending on the type of comb. What comb type? That could help with ID.

Are you sure it's a chicken? I can't tell how large it is from your picture but it almost looks like a quail....?

That could be possible, we need a better picture to confirm and see if it is just the angle.

You are right though, it does look quail-like but that could just be from it being hunched over because it is scared and not feeling too good.
