Lots of them, in places like Hawaii. But they don't have predators there that we have here.As far as trees, that's all good, but I'm thinking that wild birds as created by Jehovah God... ummm.. do not lay an egg and walk away every day. These birds we appreciate so much have had a LOT of human selection over the years, it appears to me.
Be that as it may, i expect there are at least a couple of feral chicken flocks out there somewhere.
Yeah...I'm pretty tired right now and not thinking straight. Yes, chickens roost in trees, yes, raccoons can climb trees. Yes chickens that we are used to have a lot of human influence on them. Just general yes to what I overlooked before XDAs far as trees, that's all good, but I'm thinking that wild birds as created by Jehovah God... ummm.. do not lay an egg and walk away every day. Yes, raccoons climb trees and so do wildcats. And chickens are very yummy.Yeah...I'm pretty tired right now and not thinking straight. Yes, chickens roost in trees, yes, raccoons can climb trees. As other posters pointed out, there are plenty of tree-climbing predators, and the domestic chicken is very far removed from its wild ancestors.I've heard that they roost in trees? I mean, chickens survived somehow before humans got to them....hmmmmm (starts overthinking this)
Where I live you sometimes see feral chickens. Sometimes in flocks, sometimes alone. I have no idea whether they're dumped or just walked out of their coops one day and never looked back.I've heard that they roost in trees?
