Rescued a chicken

Hello, few days ago while hiking , I’ve found a chicken in the middle of the woods. It was so friendly and didn’t want me to leave. I guess it was lost. I brought it home. I’m assuming it’s a Black Cochin Bantam. Can anyone tell me if it’s a hen or a rooster ( I’m thinking hen, but not sure), and also how can I determine the age of this chicken ?

I’ve never had chickens before, this is my first. It literally followed me to my car and wanted to jump in. Couldn’t leave it in the forest.

What are you feeding him/her? Does he/her have spurs?
