Hello!

We rescued four chickens today and their previous owners weren't sure what breed they were. I reckon we might have a Sussex, Rhode Island Whites (x2) and either a Faverolle or a Belgian D'Uccle.
Thoughts?

Sorry pictures aren't great. The buggers won't stand still!

We are keeping them separate from our original flock at the moment, but think they will integrate well with time. They are a lot bigger than our girls! They Sussex and Faverolle/D'uccle make our Australorp (who was our biggest bird) look small....oops!

The feathered legs mean they are not rhode island whites. The one in the front of the first picture is a salmon faverolles. Does the hen behind her have feathered legs also?

Thanks for the reply.

The white one in the first pic has clean legs. No feathers.

If not Rhode Island Whites, what do you think they are. Both their combs are stubby and not sticky up-y.

Are they pea combs, do you know? Honestly I'm stumped. I can't think of any white feather footed pea combed breeds. Perhaps they are mixes? Someone else may know.

Could the white with black markings be a light Brahma? They are BIG birds. I think the other is a Salmon faverolle.

Is that a pea comb? I'm not too sure what they are. I will try and get a better photo in the morning. They are all tucked up for the night.

There might have mixed bred the chickens her in Australia, who knows!

No, it couldn't, since pippo said it doesn't have feathered legs, and it has a single comb. I'm thinking they're right that that one is a sussex.

here are the new girls with a couple of our original flock, our polish and pekin bantam. They are on slightly elevated ground behind the wire but they still make our original girls look miniature!

It does look like a pea comb. I'm definitely stumped on them, lol.

oh well, I was only going off a picture guide I found online and that doesn't mention anything about feathery or non feathery legs so clearly you know better than google. Thank you for your help! Hopefully someone might have some suggestions. Apparently the two white ones were good layers until it went cold.
