I bought sharp scissors at Lowes .I keep them strictly for wing clipping.

i used regular kitchen shears
and ONLY cut ONE side
by cutting both you even them out and they can fly again

@DwayneNLiz--wow. What a great factoid! I have looked at wing clipping for several years, and have NEVER heard of creating the asymmetry until just now. Thank you. It makes total sense, but I would never have thought of it on my own.

I actually clipped both wings this past fall a year ago and none of my Muscovy girls can fly. They can't jump very high either. lol

It's been 3 months since I found speedy! I figure that makes her approximately 3 months old... maybe 13 weeks? wow it's gone by fast!

Oh I'm so frustrated that people would tell you to take speedy back to the pond!!! That's actually a death sentence, as speedy is so friendly to people he probably would be hit by a car or killed by a neighborhood dog pretty quickly. I'm so glad he has such a great home with you!!!

Apparently I can't count lol, it's only been three months, but still! I'll have to take a picture of what I did to their pen/house. I worked on it til 2 last night.
Im learning to brush it off. They don't know any better.
