Hey Guys,
I rescued an Egyptian gosling that got stuck in our pool just over a month ago. I have been raising her myself through the fantastic advice of this website and a friend who's a vets assistant. We've been doing the best we can, but I rescued her the day before our country went into lockdown due to the coronavirus. She's been doing well and growing fast, but like any parent, I worry at times, especially now that she is feathering. I think she must be about 6 - 7 weeks old. She was about the size of a small ramekin when I found her.
She is moulting quite quickly but to me, her wings are looking very strange. The lower end of the wing seems to have a bit that's sticking outwards and I am worried that she might be developing angel wing. Also, it looks like her bones are showing underneath her feathers which is really worrying to me and I will freely admit that I am freaking out.
I have attached pictures and any help would be sincerely appreciated, and of course, if it is serious I will be taking her to the vet. I am just hoping that it's normal.
Thanks in advance,
K
