This is my first post. I have recently found myself having a rooster. I am 25 years old and have recently purchased my first house in new jersey. I work at an oil terminal in north jersey and about two months ago i showed up to our office one morning and there was a rooster hanging out in the parking lot / The bushes in the front of the building. No one is sure how he got there or where he was from we are assuming someone decided to abandon him and just dropped him off there. He hung out outside work for the next couple of days and i decided that he was in need of a better home so i captured him and brought him to my house which is pretty much in the middle of nowhere with alot of property. After doing a bunch of research and building a 4 x 4 coop and a 10x10 run i am planning on getting baby chicks this spring and going full in. He seems very happy in his new home and has gotten a lot more used to us and will even come right up to me and my girlfriend.
