Rescued Roo from next door (now known as Larry) (pics on post #30)

Sorry to hear about the injured roo.... It was good of you to take him in...I'm stupid like that too LOL Perhaps when he's healed he also can go, via your car...to that feed store. I hope they don't eat them !
Let's face it, some folks are total A****HOLES and it sounds like your idiots qualify....big time.
Here in MA it's not enough to just provide food, water and shelter. MUST provide medical care as needed. Or so says the MSPCA.
I agree, it just might fall on you to educate the fools. Some one has to tell them you can't have a herd of roos and 2 girls. Could you go over and look at what they have left and point out to them which are which and that the roos should be rehomed and quickly ? Some people just don't get it. Perhaps if you work with them and try and educate them they will catch on. If they show little to no interest then perhaps you could suggest they may be better off to rehome them all and go buy eggs.
I wish you good luck. Pls keep us informed. We DO care about the chicks.

Sorry, I just now saw your post, I had to work all day today. It drove me crazy not being able to log on and see what everyone was talking about.

I'm glad you took the roo and hopefully they can find the others new homes. Maybe, they will do what is right since you went over and talked them about it.

Maybe your neighbors my ex. He lives in Spring Hill!

I pointed them all out, and they took the 2 biggest bullies and put them in crates and are taking them to the feed store tomorrow. At least they are listening now!

Might be unfortunate but this roo may be a Cornish cross who is 8 months old. He's really heavy, at least 12 pounds, and squat and wide and real fat legs. Ate a whole cup of feed before it got dark, (an hour). Hmmm.

Have you checked with authorities
There are laws against negligence and letting any animal attack another until death do they part is
considered being negligent
My opinion ; That type of people should not be allowed to own animals of any sort

I agree, all pets/animals should be well kept. If they don't start to look better now with the 2 bullies gone, and one in my hospital pen, then I will make calls. Hopefully it won't get to that.
