Too bad you're not near me... there's a BOAT LOAD of Swede mixes at the park I just rescued the 3 Muscovies & Pekin hen from.

Oh wow! I wish I were close to you too! Would love another swede/mix! It's unusually hard to find ducks here for some reason. You'd think, being in the midwest there would be tons. Only a few around here that I've seen.

That's a shame to hear about the duck gone. let's hope they managed to rehome her.

Re: runners - they can be a bit shy, but come around with bribery (love peas)! They are bags full of character, have a funny way of moving and just love life! Also, excellent foragers and layers (waiting for mine to lay yet but this is what I have read). Hope you get the chocolate girl!
