Rescuing abandoned chickens.

It's possible that they had a reason for not keeping them (illmess, moving, ect.) And couldn't find someone to take them. I can't even get people to take pol pullets where I am now
You never know what someone’s circumstances are, I agree. I’m just glad they’re home now!

What a great update! Happy for you! Hopefully the injured bird heals quickly :hugs
In better light today, I think the blood on her neck was from feathers being pulled out by the roots. I don’t think anything broke her skin. She’ll just look funny for awhile.

Thank you. I do appreciate all the suggestions we were given. It’s not possible to take all advice given in situations like these. We had to pick what we thought was most relevant to the situation and thankfully it turned out well.
Yes. Y’all did great with your situation under fire and I admire you for doing such a good thing for those poor abandoned birds.

Well that’s good to know that nothing injured her seriously. Maybe she will overcome any shock quickly and just be happy to be safe with her flock and in a good calm situation with plenty of food, water, and friends.

Nothing like getting over a funny or bad haircut. We have all had those at least once in our lives. Lol!
