Put her in the brooder under the heat lamp with the shell on her bottom. Lay her on her belly. If the shell is still attached tomorrow morning use warm water to un stick it.
Don't let it get too hot in the brooder.... too much heat is as bad as no heat.

Don't pull off that butt shell. It's very important that he absorbs the yolk, which may take several hours. He'll squiggle out when he's ready.

If you put the heat lamp to one side of the brooder, that gives the ducklings the option to move out of the direct heat.
You did GREAT job.

And because some times life is cruel, when I went to put the new duck in the brooder in the bathroom. I made sure the 4 day old duck got some water. After dipping it's beaking and checking it's eyes, it died in my hand.

Another cycle of life lesson for my almost 5 year old who has been with me through this whole duck adventure...

So hoping for good results for the new guy...

(The 4 day old couldn't really walk... It was a shot in the dark that he/she lived this long)
