Respiratory and egg consumption question

I lost a very nice rooster the 31st, probably to a Respiratory problem. I don't know how long something like this can be carried by a chicken before it becomes fatal (we did take him to the vet and gave antibiotics) but he died a little over a wk after I discovered his labored breathing. Our chickens are all free range, given acv and garlic in their water, which is changed every day...no one is showing signs of distress and show healthy appetites and energy. My question is, is it going to be ok to still eat their eggs?

Yes, it's still okay to eat their eggs. Infected hens may have defective shell glands, so egg shells may be shaped oddly. Sometimes egg production will slow down too.

If you are giving them any medication there may be a with drawl time.

No problem, the taste the same but don't look pretty. Sometimes the blood spot is bigger than usual. If they are oddly shaped don't sell them (if you do sell).
