Anybody know anything about respiratory issues with chickens? Think I have found my culprit to my hens not laying? What's the best remedy? I gave them Duramycin? You have to put it in the water, but how do I know they are getting enough to clear it up? Is there something better to use?

Age and symptoms of your chickens, feces color and consistency etc......any other info would be helpful?

Thank you for replying....Hens are 6 months of age, feces seems to be different, sometimes normal to runny, chickens seem droggy, not eating or drinking much, and it almost sounds at times as if they are "sneezing" or "coughing" and shaking their head rapidly at times...

I used Tylan 50 and gave it to each chicken individually. It was a pain but everyone is healthy now. :) Most of my chickens are about the same age.

I don't know, sorry. My feed store was out of duramycin. I would have chosen that first, due to being able to put it in the water. I read both were good. I noticed a difference in them after 2 days on Tylan.

Tylan is more potent than duramycin . Tylan 50 injectable has a 7 day withdrawal period, tylan soluable powder has a 1 day withdrawal period. Duramycin 10 has a 21 day withdrawal period.

Where is the cheapest place to buy Tylan? My Southern States doesn't carry it but says they can order?

Also, heard that you could put apple cider vinegar in their water to treat for worms??? Is that true? And if so, would it hurt to put the vinegar in the same water as the duramycin?
