Hey everyone. I have a 3-4 month old Easter Egger cockerel that has been opening his mouth lately. He doesn’t do it much, but only does it if it’s hot out, or if he’s being picked up (it’s not stress, he’s genuinely relaxed while held) and I’m pretty sure I’ve heard him and my Langshan sneeze more than a couple times (they’ve been doing that since they were chicks). My delima however is he’s active as can be, and he eats and drinks well and is very explorative and just other wise doesn’t show any sign other than opening his mouth of being sick. I’m open to suggestions and possibly treatment methods. Thank you

Chickens open their mouths when it's hot. When it's very hot, they'll open their wings away from their body. Heat stress. Make sure they have fresh cool water to drink, shade, and provide a fan in the pen.
Sneezing can be from feed dust, dust from dust bathing, environmental issues etc...
