Respiratory infection

Sometimes a disease called Infectious Laryngotracheitis (ILT) can cause birds to cough/choke up mucus, with or with blood. If I were you, I’d cull and send her off for a necropsy to be tested because if it’s ILT, it’s a horrible disease that has a high mortality rate. It also doesn’t have any treatments or cures.
Would they be improving if it was that? I only have her left but she didnt start showing symptoms until after the others did. All 9 of the others are almost 100% better.

They can improve, but antibiotics wouldn’t work. It could still be MG, but you wouldn’t know for certain unless testing was done.

If they are improving with antibiotics, it is more likely MG. It is always a good idea if a sick bird dies, to contact your atate vet for a necropsy. They can look for many diseases. There are about 4 state diagnostic labs in TX, and here is a list of them:

Yes, if 1 dies I will send her off. So far they all are doing good.

Only 2 of the 10 still have the raspy breathing. The other 8 are showing no symptoms anymore. If 1 dies I will send her in but they're responding to the tylan and are showing the signs for MG.

Ot seems like the 2 others are headed in the right direction. My EEs eye is barely swollen and shes starting to eat and drink on her own. Only 1 has some swelling still but she was the last to start showing symptoms so shes only on day 3 of tylan. One thing I wanted to ask. One of my girls has been showing great improvement. Shes the one that had both eyes swelled shut. All of the swelling has been gone for 2 days. Shes on day 3 of the tylan also but was looking almost 100%better. Today shes wheezing pretty loudly. Is that a "normal" thing to be happening while still taking the antibiotics? Shes eating, drinking, scratching the ground, no swelling. Shes also walking around just fine. Just having the new wheezing symptom pop up today.

She might have mucus or a piece of food in her airway. If she is doing that tomorrow, perhaps you could takena short video and upload it to YouTube with a link posted here.

Ok, I will if shes still doing it. Hopefully not. I was getting so hopeful that they were feeling better. We do live in west texas and our weather is kind of insane. Super windy that blows dust everywhere. One day 80 then the next 30. Not sure if that would contribute or not.

Ok, I'm on day 5 for 8 of my 10 girls. All but my EE are 100% better. Shes improved a lot but her eye still has some minimal swelling. I checked to see if there was any pus and there isnt. Should I stop her treatment today or should I go another couple of days? She has no more drainage from her nose, mouth, or eyes. Just some swelling under her eye. She is able to open her eye now.
