Respiratory issues -> now chronic?

I have a problem with my 8 yr old chicken.

3 Or 4 months ago my chicken started to get a bit sick, she puffed up and had some trouble pooping. I gave her a bath with epsom salt. She didn't like it and got away. It was very hot, so I thought to just leave her... But since then she started to have some respiratory issues (although, I think she has always been sneezing a bit, but she now started rattling as well).

She makes a rattling or humming/buzzing sound when breathing out, and sometimes she coughs. She still sneezes sometimes as well (not so often). She is drinking and eating just fine, and is still the most active one of them all, pooping is also okay again. Her beak is closed when breathing, so it doesn't seem too uncomfortable for her... But off course, I would like it to be over!

Can I give her something that would help?

It can be a chronic thing set off by stress. If you believe she's congested, you can set her up in a crate with a vaporizer or mister. If you can put some Betadine or Oxine in the water, that can kill the bacteria that's causing the congestion.

If she starts feeling poorly, you can treat her with a broad spectrum antibiotic. Tylan 50 is the best thing, but you will need to order it from Tractor Supply if you live in the US. You might be able to find fish antibiotics at a PetSmart if you live in the US.

(Please list your location in your profile and save us all having to keep asking. It's also pointless to recommend you trot down to a Petsmart if you live in Pakistan.)

I'm trying to find Tylan 50 at tractor supply, but I can only find very expensive tablets ($170). That's not what you mean I guess?
Is it tylosin 50 that I need (ebay)?
Thanks a lot!

Tylosin is the name of the medicine. Tylan is the brand name. So Tylosin 50 is perfect if you can get it. Don't understand why, but Tylan has been impossible to find for a year.

Read the label on the $170 Tylan. It might be highly concentrated. Your average dose for an average chicken is .5ml twice a day for five days.
