I followed your thread on the fire. I'm so sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you. Your mother is right, they were very lucky to live the life they did. Thank you for sharing the pictures and stories of your ladies. It brought tears to my eyes.

This is one of my worst fears. I am sooooooooooooo sorry for your loss. I wish you were closer. I'd help build a new coop, give you one or a few of my girls to help with your loss, offer materials to build a new run. Something. All I can do from here is offer my condolences.

Im so sorry for your loss on your babies....yes they are "just" chickens to others...but to us they are much more, we bond with them and take care of them....I wish you the very best. My heart goes out to you. Im very new to chickens and I didnt think I would react the way I have with them...I talk to them and all...my daug. and spouse think Im crazy but you know...they dont talk back, they look forward to seeing you come down the yard towards them, they get so excited!!!!

To them, you ARE THE WORLD...
