Rest in Peace Peppi

Peppi was my favorite partridge silkie hen. This year was her first year hatching and she hatched 3 beautiful black rosecomb babies and adopted another red chick. Ten minutes ago, Peppi was killed by a hawk doing what any other broody would do... defend her babies. Now I have four ophaned little ones who want their momma.

I'm so sorry Peppi, its all my fault.

I should have been there for you when I heard all the chickens giving their alarms. I was on this computer playing Farmtown, and since I was down there to check everyone five minutes before that, I thought one of your sisters was laying an egg. Please forgive me.

I am so sorry for your lose, She was beautiful and obviously a wonderful momma. (((HUGS))) She died doing what any wonderful momma would do, be proud of her and remember the good times
