i Had a drake who was missing part of the upper bill , similar to what you have as well , and he lived a long happy life .
as long as the duck is eating and drinking , they seem to survive okay . as others have said just watch and make sure it can still clean itself , if it starts to look tattered and rough you may want to manually help bath once a week or so , otherwise congrats on the new duck !
