i Had a drake who was missing part of the upper bill , similar to what you have as well , and he lived a long happy life .
as long as the duck is eating and drinking , they seem to survive okay . as others have said just watch and make sure it can still clean itself , if it starts to look tattered and rough you may want to manually help bath once a week or so , otherwise congrats on the new duck !

sadly they will not , people have glued on prosthetic fixtures in severe cases .

In spite of its injuries, losses and traumas, I am going to say this is a blessed duck because you came into its life to rescue it. Bless you for caring for it.

I checked on him lastnite around 8 & he was hanging out in the kiddie pool!!! I'm hoping that Olivia allowed him to sleep in the pen with her & the ducklings lastnite but if not, he would still be safe sleeping in the run. I'm waiting for daylight to check on him.
