results of the baited traps from last night - night of Thurs. may 12

Quote:
Pulled directly from VA regs. It also says that you have a season on everything except coyotes, nutria and striped skunk. Every state has certain species that have an open season.

My point was, us asking for permission to trap during the fur season is different that the landowner asking us to come catch critters in the off season.

you are assuming that the one who traps is doing so under a adc license when done with a trapping license it is a different matter

Regarding the sale of fur:
§ 29.1-536. Sale.

When taken in accordance with the provisions of law or regulation, muskrat, opossum, rabbits, raccoon and squirrels may be bought and sold during the open hunting season only, but the hides, furs or pelts of fur-bearing animals legally taken and possessed, and the carcass of any fur-bearing animal may be sold at any time in accordance with §§ 29.1-400 through 29.1-407.

also this is pulled straight from our regs about fur trapping not adc trapping

Trapping Seasons

There is a continuous open season to trap beaver, muskrat, opossum and raccoon within the incorporated limits of any city or town in the Commonwealth, and in the counties of Arlington, Chesterfield, Fairfax, Henrico, James City, Loudoun, Prince William, Spotsylvania, Stafford, Roanoke and York.

When beavers are damaging crops or lands, the owner of the premises, his agent, or tenant, may kill the animals or have them killed. This includes shooting, except in areas where the discharge of firearms is prohibited.
