31 chicks in the cage brooder now. There are several eggs left in the 3 incubators; two eggs have live chicks pipping or starting to zip.
The chicks in the brooder are very active and are scampering in and out of the cage, as well as under and out from under the EcoGlow. Shortly after taking this photo, I put some of the left-over roll of shelf liner down as a "ramp" so they could get back into the cage and that is working well.
ALL of the cheeping is of happy, busy chicks. Every now and then there is a single loud cheep of outrage, from somebody being stepped on by another brooder-mate.
