What a beautiful piece of property! Love the big front porch!! I can see why you jumped on it. It looks like it is pretty secluded and private which will be nice. Maybe your new neighbors are already BYCers!!! That would be too cool. Good luck on all the paper signing and moving!!
Very pretty and cute place, and I'm so happy for you! Too bad you're two hours away, or I'd help you move in! I think you and your flock are going to be very happy there. From one foothills area to another (I live in Nevada City part of the time, too), welcome to the foothills!
The Real Estate listing for the property now indicates it is no longer available!
I'm to meet my agent at 10 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday) to take measurements inside and out - and to give her checks for the various inspections and whatnot. She's already made appointments for them on Monday, and she will be there for them because I work and cannot be present. I know this is her job, but she's really excited for me.
In talking to my "personal banker" at the bank where I keep all my money, I was given the opportunity to request a quote for home-owner's insurance. I'll get that in the mail within a couple of days; supposedly the bank checks with a few different insurance carriers to provide a set of quotes to consider. She also printed off an information sheet related to the demographics of the community where I'll eventually be living. Current estimated population is 2,701 persons. She also checked Zillow to see the Real Estate listing (this was yesterday afternoon, before it was pulled). There were a few more photographs THERE than there were at the Realtor.com website!

I can hardly wait until I can take this sign down off the house I'm renting and attach it to the house!!!!
