No forward movement on the purchase of the property on Friday.
However, as I've never been Up The Hill after dark, I visited my good friends HHandbasket and Farmer Lew, and brought some sushi and Chinese food for dinner all the way from West Sacramento. I was invited to spend the night on their sofa, and so I did. I kept going outside to "experience" the late afternoon, evening and night of the foothills. Much of the time before dark, I spent outside watching and listening to their chickens, petting the two cats and their dog, Ginger who always thinks every visitor is there to see HER. She's such a happy, wiggle-butt.
For most of the night, the gibbous moon was caught in the tree branches. You could see ALL the stars and constellations in the circle of night.
Morning broke early (as is its wont) and I enjoyed seeing the light grow brighter in the East. The chickens were happy to be let out of their coops and all the little ones had the zoomies, running hither and yon after bugs and other goodies. Until Farmer Lew brought out their morning feed.
My hosts had to go to Placerville for some shopping and we hugged "see you tomorrow" before getting into our respective vehicles and heading down the drive. I didn't head home right away, but drove to "my" property to stamp around on it some more. I finally noticed the house faced east, and the morning sun will come in the living room and master bedroom windows.
Tomorrow morning at 1100 hours, I'll be meeting my real estate agent at the house for our Final Walk Through. HHandbasket and Farmer Lew will meet us there and he will get his first look inside the house. He's a pretty darned handy fellow, so I expect his participation will provide him with some input to share with ME afterwards.
Plus he wants to inspect the dilapidated old garage to see how much work needs to be done to turn it into a big, ol' coop for my flock. If it can be done, I might not "have" to move all my coops, but can gift a couple to others who may need what I've got to offer.
I have already set two different alarm clocks to make sure I get up and get on the road no later than 0930 hours.
