Ok, folks, Linda is at the hearing! Everybody send her LOTS of good vibes! We weren't able to go due to prior obligations set in place before she got her hearing date... tried to get out of my previous commitment, but that was a no go. It's my kid's birthday--we have had plans for the day in place for a long time. Kinda hard to get out of your kid's birthday, even if he is a grown adult in his 20s (esp since last year, his dad died the week of his birthday & it was a BAD birthday last year so his fiance and I are trying to make it nice for him this year).

I really hope she prevails in this, though her work is cut out for her. I am really hoping that this real estate agent (whose family has more clout in this county than any other--her son is the county sheriff & that family owns half the businesses up here anyway) will bring a large contingent of folks to fight this, including her friends from the planning commission who agree that the statute/ordinance is grossly unclear. It's killin' me that I can't be there.

I also had a cousin show up in town that I haven't seen since 1989 & a friend of mine I worked with for four years died on Monday & her funeral is today, and I couldn't go to that either. Darn my kid for having a birthday this weekend! LOL!

I'll post as soon as I hear from her, if she doesn't post first (I'm guessing she has her iPad with her so she can post when it's over).

A lurker from Ohio is heaving a sigh of relief--been following since you were looking at the property as your potential new home prospect. What wonderful news. You are really, really going to enjoy your holidays this year! Looking forward to seeing your chickens in Santa hats:)
