Returning $$$ back for stimulus checks

I had noticed that the taxes weren't getting taken out, and I have aflac, 401, insurance taken out before taxes so very little if no taxes has been coming out of my paychecks. I didn't do the withholding because I found out like last week. I never claim so that the max taxes are taken but that dosen't make any difference this year, I spect I'll get raped by Uncle Sam this coming spring...

We explained this to our Head Start families also. Lots of them have 2 or 3 part time jobs and unless they were made aware of this little 'glitch' in the concept then they too would have been very surprised at refund time. Most of them ended up having to change their withholding status to accomodate the 'glitch'.

Probably NOT! We didnt know about anything of this. We were told that we didn't have to pay it back because it was tax free money.

I think what he's telling you is that go to work on Monday, and set your exemptions to 0 for the rest of the year, so that the tax differance can come out now.

I will let him know but we only have a month and half to go. I am surprised no one told us of it because we always claim us, him, me and my daughter to get more refund back. Now I dont think so!

That's not how it works. Your monthly checks are bigger but your return is smaller.
