Wow has this site grown! So happy to see it!.
My name is Therese and I am in the Piney Woods of South East Texas. My user name used to be Shandra. I own a Pet Grooming business and am a Wild Life rehabber.
I used to be heavily involved here and with Chickens, having over 200 chooks. Life changes caused me to sell off all my birds and move. Last year I went to TSC and they had a couple of chicks down ( spraddle leg) so I bought em in the hopes of healing them... of the 3, 1 was to far gone.. so of course I had to get at least 1 more chick.. they would only sell a min of 3.
I have more self control now ( I keep telling myself that)
I stopped at the feed store to get pellets and they had just gotten in an order of turkeys.. they were wet and cold :( spring weather.. they had already lost several and had a couple laying in the bottom not able to get up and a couple going down. I bought all the ones going down and down and took them home.. of the 5 only Gobble survived. She is a pet. She hears my car and runs, wings out, to the front of the fence gobbling the whole time lol Silly bird .. she follows me everywhere she can and during mating season will plop down in front of me or on my feet and not budge until I shake her tail feathers lol Silly Bird. I love my Gobble :)
