Reusing Molted Feathers?

I wash them all the time, the coolest thing is they blow dry BEAUTIFULLY! Just nice smelling soap or shampoo, rinse well and blow dry.

Try it. I think you'll like it.

The first time I washed and dried a beautiful fluffer feather, I was shocked at how nicely it turned out.

If you have a lot, make a feather wreath. I have some tabletop Christmas trees made of white feathers - really lovely and simply made from styrfoam and elmers glue.

My daughter-in-law asked for some chicken feathers so she could make hair clips. Sounds perfectly logical to me.

As far as reuse other than crafts, they also compost well.

Oh what a fun idea, I've got to try this. Thanks for the picks Suburbanminfarm!
I'll also send a bag of feathers with my hubby to work as a gift to his boss, he does a lot of fly fishing. That will be a fun gift.
