This one was a Buff Orpington which, ok, according to certain chicken sites isn't particularly heat tolerant but I figured if she survived last year she had a good shot during this heat wave. I come home one day and she's laid on her side and I couldn't get her cooled down. That sucked. I couldn't do anything for her. I moved the coop that weekend and added a fan and I'm fixing up a more permanent type of mister for it. My others are Penciled Plymouth Rocks and some Leghorn crosses. My chicks are Easter Eggers. We'll see how things play out.I lost a BCM pullet last year, she was about 22 weeks, it was terrible. We made some alterations this year so I'm hoping for no more losses
