Revisiting my roo and what type he could be...

I posted a few pics of roo, Joe, a few weeks ago and everyone concluded that he was a mutt...but after further investigation the hen that came with him was deemed a dark cornish. I was just looking up egg laying reputation of this type of chicken and came across a pic of a dark cornish rooster and it looks like Joe! What does everyone think?? Here is a pic of him again:

Comparing to the link of the pic below, I really think he might be!

No, he is not a dark cornish male. Looks more like a maran to me.

He has to be a mix. Look at the comb type. he is probably a Cornish cross.

That could be a Partridge Rock cross or a Partridge Orpington but it isnt a Dark Cornish... If you would post the pic of the hen I would like to see it..

I was actually thinking partridge rock myself, they are big boys.

Partridge rock with a squirrel tail and incorrect leg color, the back looks short, the wattles too long, possibly too coarse and the eyes too orange.

Mix, especially based on short back and leg color. Could be Marans mix, that'd fuss up the leg color, the back, the wattles and the tail.

Ok ok...I just saw that pic...and apparently I don't know enough about chickens (HAHA). Ok..he's a mutt, I concur.

He is a very pretty boy. I agree with the partridge color. Probably a rock breed. I just dont know about that beautiful full tail!! Mutts can be so stunning sometimes.
