Does ANYONE have these? I cannot find any breeder to reply to me on the bantams. Been despirately looking on and off for these guys. Doesnt matter what comb variety just want BANTAM RIRs. Are these guys not that extensively in the US or something? When I search for them I end up getting breeders on the other side of the pond which doesn't help me much any info on them here?

Lol. I know some people that find auctions on eggbid and just email the breeder asking if they will just sell them for a set price. Its worth a try. I think we are going to a traders tomorrow and he always has tons and tons of RIR bantams, if only you were closer.

I have some-have bred this strain for over 25 years. They origionated from Ken Bowles flock. Ken was one of the early breeders who helped develop the Red Bantam. These birds are as good as any you'll find.
I have broken up my breeding pens as I'm done hatching for the year.I didn't hatch as many as last year [250+-got a little carried away] but I will have s few good trios to sell in the fall. Don't know where you are in PA but I will be judging at a show in Bath, NY in September. If you're interested & that's not too far I could bring some with me.
As yet I have never shipped birds but that too is a possibility.

Jim La Gendre, the breeder of Silver Spangled Hamburg bantam has some RIR bantams in single and rose combs I believe. he is a good guy to deal with!

I have seen pictures of them but no idea where his stock came from.
