Rhode Island Red? Gender?

That's a whole lot of people saying rooster. A few follow up questions... what makes you think rooster?
I'm leaning toward rooster because it appears to me in the top pictures that it is beginning to develop the longer, pointed saddle feathers of a rooster, but then I'll be the first to admit that my eyes aren't as good as they used to be, and I might think I'm seeing what is not really there. If I had only that last pic (from the front side to go by I would lean toward pullet). I hope for your sake it does turn out to be a pullet.

Hi Renee, I wanted to post pics before but it was milking time (cows)
These are both rir's

the first pic is the saddle feathers of the cockerel and the next one is of the hens...hope my post can be of some help :)
I thought it looked like a pullet personally.

thanks that helps a bunch... now I am looking at the feathers right next to its tail right? I will take a look at "her" when I go out there this morning. I was absolutely sure she was a she until a lady told me she was sure it was a roo and then I started doubting myself. This one and the barred rock are best buddies, I have never seen them chest bump each other or show any aggression towards each other. And now that the barred rock is most definitely a roo I am having a hard time believing the rir is a roo as well. Her comb and wattles are pretty small considering she's 13 weeks. Anyway, thanks for the pictures they really help.

Ok I took a few pictures because I'm still having a hard time deciding.

They don't look as round as your pullets feathers but they don't look pointy like your roos feathers either... I'm so confused.

This may help. (L to R) PR chickens feathers.

Rooster tail feather, Hen tail feather, Hen saddle feather, Rooster saddle feather. Rooster's hackle feathers look like this as well. Rooster's feathers are usually much glossier than hens.

See how much larger, and fluffier and rounder the hens feathers are?

Dig into the saddle area right before the tail. Do you see any spiky thin shiny feathers starting up?

Do you have other older hens and roos you can have a look at for comparison?
They do look more rounded.
I have older hens but none the same breed. I'm driving myself crazy about this. I've looked her over and over and over again and I really can't make any conclusion. Neck feathers... hackles? Look thin and pointy to me plus they are quite shiny compared to any of my hens aside from my australorp who looks very shimmery in the sun. Also the neck feathers appear to be turning a little green/blackish in spots. I don't see any saddle feathers that are really pointy though.

I'm stumped and I guess all I can really do is wait for a crow or an egg.

Your bird looks like a Production Red pullet to me. I'm not seeing any pointy neck or saddle feathers, and the comb is pretty small.
