I have 4 rhode island reds almost 6 weeks old I can post pics friday but 2 of them are darker red and starting 2o get black tail feathers I think I have two hens and two roosters

I dont have a rooster!! iReally need one! You are soooo lucky you have 2! Im gonna buy one soon. I only have 2 hens...

I took a few pics of my 5 week olds last night.
Look at that red comb and waddle coming in on the one in the corner...


The very short dark red-brown one I am pretty certain is one of my two hens... She is small, dark, and has very thin legs. Her sister is identical to her.
We have 9 chicks and I am certain two are rosters and two are hens, but the rest I am not as sure about. I might have 7 roosters...
The one beside her, in the corner, I am certain is a ROSTER!! He is my largest and always been ahead of everyone else. He also has red on his comb and waddle.
They still have the smallest tips of white on them, but they seem to be getting darker red every day!

I am so glad. I am really hoping they are true RIR.

Also, my Wonderful Husband built me a new outside grow up coop for them last weekend. At a little over 4 weeks old and they were quickly outgrowing the Rubbermaid they were in.
Didn't he do a good job!!

They are enclosed in the 2 ft wide x 4 ft long box part of the coop with a heat lamp due to 40 degree temps right now. Hopefully soon they will get to go into the run!

Pretty sure my RIR Bobbi is going to lay her first egg today! She practically kicked me out of the coop this morning when I was refilling the nesting boxes with shavings!
