Eww gross, lol. I have not actually seen one in my yard yet, but I do smell them occasion from the woods. So I know they're close. And yeah, if I catch one near the coop, I'm taking care of that.

The horrible thing is,
I ran out to check on the chicks one morning, and as I lifted the lid to look in on them, I saw him, fat, lazy, and asleep. RIGHT IN THE CHICK HOUSE.
He ate 2, killed 7 and left 5 scared or injured one’s cowering in the corner.
He didn’t see me, because he was asleep. So I closed the lid, covered it with a tarp and bricks so he wouldn’t get away, and ran in to get my older brother and his .22.
He’s actually the one who did the killing, but then he left for work, and I had to clean the stupid thing up, so, in my opinion, I did a fair share in the work too!

Edit to add:
I lost one of the 5, I had known she was too far gone.

The other 4 are alive, energetic, and on their way to recovery!

Yeah you definitely had a part in that, and they smell awful!

I'm so sorry about the ones you lost, but I'm glad the other 4 are making a good recovery!

She’s my first, and at 3 1/2 weeks, I’m loving her already!
