So glad you are doing better & improving all the time.I'm doing well, still wobbly and a few other things. But the headaches are much better most days. I do tend to wake up with a slight headache, but I don't go above a level 2 mostly low 2. I think stopping the Tylenol helped tremendously. I didn't know you could get a headache from taking to much Tylenol or other headache meds![]()
She is a lovely looking little hen, Shad. Beautiful colouring.Somewhere we were talking about spurs etc on hens.
Not that I think anyone has forgotten, but this is Lock. Lock is one of the hens that has lived here that doesn't lay eggs.
There's more though. Her comb is basically a smaller version of Mag's, he's a rooster and she's got the rooster haircut. She doesn't have spurs as such although she did have growths on both legs were spurs would be. While I've never seen her try to mate with any of the hens.
She does pecks the hens but not in an aggressive manner; it's more playful, particularly with Bracket who Lock always catches by surprise.
Lock has been moulting and is just finishing off her new primaries and tail feathers.

I know right! Everyone reads & everyone talks.

Yes, I will be pleased when the fencing is fixed again. They are getting brave & going further when they get out. I will be unhappy if they find the veggies. This is awesome Jehane...I love it when my flock gathers around me...but I'm very thankful that they haven't found a new way out of the pen...we blocked one, then a second & finally the 3rd spot seems to have been the last!
But the money is good!A long time ago I used to sail racing dinghies ~solo. 25ks was pushing it for me to hold my boat down. Anything more than that makes me antsy.
We lived next door to the sailing club in Sydney & one of our biggest fleets were *Shapies*. I don't expect anyone to know what these are but they are a three crew boat with a lightweight rig & no limit on mast height & sail area. If you can rig it you can have it.
They held the National Championships @ our club one year & what's known as a *southerly buster* came through. 30~35 +knot winds & boats literally exploded. Sails blew out. Masts splintered. They have trapezes so there were men foundering @ the end of a wire, tangled up in the sheets & sails or trailing meters behind their boat. The pick up boat was racing round like a mad thing fishing blokes out of the water with the sea broiling like a cauldron & the wind howling like a demon.
And now of course my lads are fishermen & crabbers so when the wind picks up suddenly I always hope & pray they are safe in harbour & not out somewhere on the wild wet ocean.Just cause I'm a mum, you know & I'd rather they were safe.

Sounds like you have the same worry we have...roaming dogs...they can quickly decimate a flock...I loved having our chickens free range in our yard, but no longer, because of dogs!Yes, I will be pleased when the fencing is fixed again. They are getting brave & going further when they get out. I will be unhappy if they find the veggies. The biggest worry is roaming dogs so for their own safety they really do need to be contained. We are getting there. It has just taken longer than expected.
