Why 3 weeks early? I remember you saying you were expecting her first week of Sept initially?
And the falling asleep thing is because you are filled with love and calm and happiness and you are grounded, which is truly important. Can't wait to read on and see 1-year-old pics in a while...

So far as I could ever make out no~one had their dates right. She didn't look @ all premie to me but she was waaay before her due date. She is a lovely little girl.

I've always found it weird that there is a "fire season". Sounds like "hunting season" when it is legal and OK to hunt, so legal and OK to start fires...

I'm always learning phrases that are common place in Oz get raised eyebrows elsewhere.
Fire season refers to those driest, hottest months of summer when the eucalypts are most likely to spontaneously combust from the high oil content in their leaves & we get raging, out of control bush fires. Last year was particularly bad. Whole communities were destroyed. Some may never rebuild. There's usually a complete ban on any sort of open flame if the weather is really extreme.
