Ribh's D'Coopage

I've been in pain for a week now. I finally went to the doctor and we're waiting on CT scan results to see if it's a kidney stone or a muscle pull in my back.

The animals know I'm in pain. They've decided to make a cuddle puddle with me. ❤

Dixie beat Rex up on the couch. Taz usually doesn't lay with me, so he must sense something. Scooby is happy I'm off work today and he can get extra snuggles.
Just spoke with the doctor. No kidney stone, just a severely pulled muscle. Rest and steroids and I should feel right as rain in about 2 days.

Thank you everyone for the kind thoughts!
Sorry to hear about your suffering CCCL. I'm glad it is a relatively "simple" fix.

Sounds like your animal nurses are doing a good job in the meantime.

Get well soon. 🐶🐱👩‍⚕️

As I was babysitting this weekend I missed most of the discussion about education on @BY Bob's thread but have now dumped a load ~ with more to come if I get up the nerve! :gig :lau

However I find the kiddies home environment so sterile I invariably get them out somewhere that I consider a little more child friendly so we walked to the 2nd of 2 parks. It was a lovely walk over a bridge, along a creek & past the golf course with its lake full of moor hens, tadpoles, dragonflies, fish & butterflies.View attachment 2411911
Yes, we did the swings & things.

But the highlight of our walk was spotting someone's backyard flock free ranging in the back yard! Just look @ these beauties!

Ah! Now I know where this chicken tax photo came from! The kids are adorable!

Hattie is quite large compared to Lilly, Sansa, and Sydney. I need to weigh Aurora. She used to be almost 2 lbs lighter than Hattie. Hattie is over 7 lbs. Lilly is right around 5 lbs. I remember Patsy, my Maran, being around 6.5 lbs. How much did your Marans weigh? I thought that might give you a point of reference,.
Buttercup (Brahma) was 8 pounds, Bridge (Barred Rock) was 7, and the rest were under 6. They mostly hovered in the 5.0 - 5.5 range, if I remember correctly. Except Margo (Leghorn) and Roxy (SL Wyandotte), who were under 5. The 1.5 year olds still seem smaller than the older girls, but they were never exposed to the pasture seed that made the flock fat.
