Ribh's D'Coopage

I can certainly understand that. What makes them more of a pain is teaching someone else, who presumed she had solid excel skills... :th

I recently had an employee that could not do basic things in Microsoft office. It simply was one of the most frustrating things I've ever experienced. We use it every day and they could not create a document that could be put in front of a customer. I had to review and fix any document they ever learned to send. It was double the work for me. In short, I feel your pain.
:he

My chooks do a GREAT job of keeping the mosquitoes down. Our biggest problem is black flies. I live in a rural area with lots of farms so manure spreading is very common.

I have deployed a couple of fly strategies this year and feel like I may finally have them under control. It is crazy how many there are. And that was true BEFORE we got chickens.

The girls have been making a terrible racket all morning. There were 3 eggs already...

But honestly...! I pity the poor neighbours when they go off like this.

I hate to say it but that was nothing. My 4 can make more much more noise than that. Back when I still had my rooster, Jabber, i had a morning where this occurred. Unfortunately I have no recording because I was too desperate to stop it. Patsy and Lilly would call to each other when they got separated. So try to picture this, they are separated and are Bakawking to each other at the top of their lungs. Hattie has just laid an egg and is singing her egg song and Jabber is just standing their crowing his head off. Frankly I thought they were under attack ny something. It was so loud it was crazy. Just 4 chickens at the top of their lungs. I had to go out and gather them all together to shut them up.

@Aussie-Chookmum: Your girls are well loved & that's what counts. What mine are interested in is the foraging activities available on the other side of the fence. Ha'penny has figured out how to go over whenever she pleases. And when I went out to catch her today she lazily hopped onto a crate beside the fence & with great insouciance hopped back over on her own . *sigh* She's become my less skittish one & will squat for me but she is a very naughty girl & I have a huge mess to clean up tomorrow! :( Your girls are lovely. So pretty!:love

What a smart hen. I can hear her saying, "yes mom, I will go back where you want me. No need to pick me up and manhandle me". Of course, all bets are off as soon as you leave. ;)

Can I join too?

This picture was taken on the evening one of my best friends was laid to rest. He was killed by a hit and run driver 3 days before Christmas. His funeral was the day after Christmas. This is looking down the street from my house toward the church where his services were held.

That is an eerie and beautiful photo. I am so sorry for your loss. That could not have been easy.

Thanks! Yea, I’ve taken generic Allegra at times as I have indoor allergies that only get me on occasion but the cat allergies are a new thing :tongue... I have also started taking two table spoons of Elderberry for the allergies and that helps.. thanks so much :hugs

I have also had luck with a tablespoon of local to you honey. They say it produces a similar response to allergy shots. The theory is you ingest small amounts of the allergen to produce a response to it, but not enough to cause you symptoms.

Thank you it's been very difficult. He was 29 years old, a marine who survive Iraq, he had a 5 year old daughter, and he was intentionally ran over by the lover of his ex.

Bob you may have heard it on the local news, since we are not too far apart. It was terrible for all involved.
