Australian Post has just informed me my extra wool should be here today! I am itching to finish this one. I bought the wrong ply so the wool didn't go anywhere near as far as I was expecting it too & it has been sitting on the back of my lounge for a fortnight waiting on those extra skeins of wool arriving. Lesson learned. The extra weight has been murder on my wrists.

You're not responsible for their petty little minds. Nor are they the BYC police. If anyone had a responsibility here it is the child's parents & if they knew & were ok [pretty sure I remember you saying you'd been vetted & oked by them] then everyone else should take their prod out of the pile! Been on the end of malicious gossip too often to think this is anywhere near ok! It is slander, pure & simple.

In this case, the "child" is a legal adult. But truth is she's still just a child. I've worked hard to never treat her as a child, but she just is. And I guess I'm having trouble adapting. I guess I'm just too old.

Nah...you're not old. Kiddo just needs to grow up a tad & time will take care of that. I'm just sorry everyone gets hurt in the process.

I'm actually allergic to *real* wool that's had the lanolin stripped out of it [I'm ok if lanolin is still in] so a lot of this is synthetic yarn. It doesn't itch...

No it's not ~ but Aussie~Chookmum isn't on as much as some of us so I'm still hopeful it's worked out.
