I think everyone's here. Twenty chickens sounds a lot until you see them like this. Suddenly it doesn't seem like such a lot. ​

They're so fast to learn new things though, don't you think? Look how fast your lot settled in to their new home! It seemed like they were cool with it within a day or two.

It does look to be a rather nice place to be a chicken though doesn't it.

Now there's a word that's been cropping up lately in the last couple of weeks! I mentioned how at my workplace we were doing Christmas activities; well I held a word challenge and 'discombobulate' was one of them. If anyone is interested (especially @Ribh the wordsmith), here is the list if anyone wants to improve their vocabulary.

I got Tannoy, Squall, Persnickety, Scrimp, Exclave, Inedfatigable, Xanadu, Prodigal, Beastie and Fustian.
There is a problem though. The word Beastie has a couple of rather differenet meanings these days as does Prodigal.

Hence scrumpy meaning cider. I knew scrumpy but had not heard of scrump.

Here in the West Country scrumping is still a childhood activity. Lots of tales of scrumpers getting very sick from eating too many cider apples.

As in the prodigal son. He was the one who took the money and spent it all.

Worse, he came back.
