Proper name: Ichthyol. It can be used for all sorts of things. Very useful stuff.

I was thinking of mixing activated charcoal into some vaseline, I wondered if that could work. We don't always have the same products here but I will search for what you suggest

I just got confused. Aren’t Pekins ducks?

There is a Pekin bantam chicken. They are a true bantam that originated in China. They are leg & foot feathered, short, round & cute. They can require a bit of extra care. I can't remember what the others are. I think one was a Sussex bantam.
