come on rooster lady. Help me find a good place to lay my egg. Such a darling little lady.

After she went broody she was more standoffish for a while but we seem to be over than & she is back to being * I wanna be your house chicken!* If the lad didn't object I'd let her rip.

We get flies in late summer and I have to deploy traps but i remember them coming before we had the chickens. Now that may be faulty memory as much as anything else. I cannot be certain.

I've never had them in the hordes I see here before. I blame the lad as much as the chickens. When the bait arrives it sometimes sits outside in the sun for hours before someone arrives to deal with it! Flies love fishy things even more than they love chicken poop.
