Sorbet enjoying her bath.
She's drying off in my lap now.
It seems I have another chicken with neurological problems. The vet could find nothing wrong so I am back being a chicken support person & see how we go.

CHICKEN INTEGRATION.
This is what happens when chickens integrate other chickens.
Everyone has known Tootsie & Sorbet are here but Ha'penny has been hopping the fence to investigate the intruder for the last week.
I had taken Sorbet inside to force food, water & vitamins into her before bathing her rear end.
She has diarrhoea & has not been eating but when I checked the tribe was having a good sticky @ Tootsie. Tootsie is still peeping so I'm reluctant to fully integrate her yet. What do others think?

Was there another baby with Sorbet and Tootsie?

Was there another baby with Sorbet and Tootsie?
Yes. I had 5 all up. The Aracaunas had to be moved out as soon as their quarantine ended & Afrika grew faster than expected so she had to be moved out as well. The other 2 are still babies, still on chick starter & not even Jap sized yet. The 3 bigger birds have all integrated really well. Afrika is really confident & had no trouble even going in solo ~ not optimum. Tootsie is also a confident little hen so it is really only Sorbet I'm worried about & just now I'm doubtful she'll make it which leaves me with a lone baby. I'm dithering as what's best to do. If I lose Sorbert I won't have much choice but to integrate Tootsie I think. She hates being on her own & constantly calls for Sorbet if I'm dealing with her.

Oh that Ha'penny! :gig

There is a lot to consider here. Tootsie is quite small. You have other small ones so maybe that's not as bad.

How would Sorbet react to losing her friend? I would worry that it might cause her to give up.

Do you have any "Aurora-like" hens that could be very nasty to her?

I agree with this. You will need to integrate her if she winds up being alone. Fortunately your group is really diverse. Another wee one won't seem weird to them. I'm so sorry about Sorbet. :hugs:hugs:hugs
