Ribh's D'Coopage

Thanks Jeannie, Grandkids just finished collecting their Easter eggs.
We get a lot of nests come down this time of the year so one year I grabbed an old magpie nest & put easter eggs in it for my FIL & left it on his verandah. He was most confused as to how it had got there & who had laid the eggs.:idunno My kids thought it was hilarious!

So yesterday I was up super early & cleaning out the coop by torchlight because I wanted everything dry & sorted before we left for the mainland [worship service with our extended family for Resurrection Sunday]. A wet coop just stinks & no~one wants that! The girls were delighted. They were less delighted when it dawned on them that they were all going to have to share the same space until we got home again. I could hear them calling as we pulled in: how do animals always know? So I went & let the big girls out ~ not Pebbles, who was miffed but way too sassy for her size~ & pretty much collapsed. We came home early not having done 1/2 of what we wanted but headachy crowds everywhere & the noise! How do people live with that all the time? Not even coffee could fix it so I watched One Against The Wind on You Tube ~ how have I not seen this before? & ate copious amounts of peanut M&Ms, the only sort I like, & listened to my chooks talking to each other in the rain. Weird birdies. Tomorrow is a dentist day. Back to the mainland. I think I am too tired to go.

Hi Ribh and happy Easter everyone!

I have just spent most of the day setting up more of my new chook pen and reading this thread.
I have no eggs at all at the moment because both my old girls are moulting and my babies are only just 6 weeks old.:hit Perfect time of year to be eggless!:bun

I've learnt a thing or 3 from this thread and have enjoyed seeing all the different coop pics and progress!

Once I figure out how to attach photos I'll post my own!
