Ribh's D'Coopage

Well, I guess I'm the odd ball... I love to cook. Jeannie I spent a lot of years working with teen boys 14-21. They were frustrating, aggravating, and a lot of other things, but I can't put into words how rewarding. When we lived in Louisiana we took kids from the orphanage on the week ends and during different school breaks. The most rewarding experience of all was a young man who waited for me to return from Korea to introduce his fiance and seek his "parents" approval. He was a really special kid. I'm kind of a believer in the theory that there are no Bad kids, just kids who need something they're not getting. Most of the kids I dealt with from the orphanage had living parents who apparently didn't care or couldn't be bothered to raise their offspring. The psychological issues that raises are huge. I've spent way too much time with pro's in those professions.

Oh and here are some sunset pics from tonight. Real light they are way more red than orange as the pics show.

Those are outstanding photos! Just amazing. Very pretty.

lol What I wanted has nothing to do with how I actually relate to animals! :lau The problem being, obviously, I don't mind cuddling. I brought Tuppence in again this morning because she kept hopping the fence. She had about a half hour cuddle before I took her back & she has stayed in the run since. I worry about me...:lau

She is training you well! :gig

I'm so sorry. That sky led to an ice storm later that day if that helps.

That's ok Bob. I think it's good to be on edge a little when one may have to evacuate at short notice. It rained a bit this morning so that may have helped the exhausted fire fighters a little.

Sorry about the ice storm. Extreme weather sucks. :(

Good evening folks :frow I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas :hugs

Jeannie, You've inspired me... for desert today we'll have a trifle & pav... since I couldn't buy the cookies here in TN, I had to make them. I'll share pics when it's done. I'm making the version I had in Saudi that my Aussie friends made. There appear to be dozens of variants so I'll be exploring these more when it's spring here.:D

Here's the cookies, not the prettiest (couldn't find the collar for my big star).
