Ribh's D'Coopage

Thank you so much!! I appreciate all that.. and will def get out there and trim the dead..hope I do it right..
I have seen some near me that are shaped like a tree.. I was wondering if I could get mine like that
That might depend on your species. Some are small bushes, some are big bushes & some are trees. Yours look like bushes to me but that's not saying much. :D

Oh no!! Are they still being meanies!?
Can you let them all out together to free range? That way they may be a little more distracted and more room?
Not just yet. I have to get some wire up to keep everyone out of my veggies & I want the new girls confined for a few more weeks to discourage wandering.

I mean, I can have them together but my layers are keeping the newbies confined to barracks so this morning I've put the old girls in the small pen [after their run time] so the newbies could stretch their legs & dust bathe. Lottie was sooo happy to be able to bathe. It's not bad, just not where I want them to be.

When we planted out the raised beds I popped in dozens of freesia bulbs thinking we'd have a spectacular show come spring. Well, they are popping up already & looking really good! So stoked. They are doing exactly what I hoped they would.

I am still working on the herb bed around the chook pen. So far I have lavender, rosemary, thyme, cat nip [the chooks found that & decimated it quick smart but it seems to be recovering] & basil. Nasturtiums in the hanging pot & I have more seeds I can put in the ground. There is also rainbow silverbeet seeds between the rosemary but it all needs to grow somewhat before it will do much good.

We have breakthrough! Lavender & Soda [bottom of my original girls] have Lottie between them on the middle roost. Nugget, Namaste & Hepzibah have Luna with them on one end of the top roost. The rest are @ the other end with Pebbles in the middle. Each group has a dominant hen to keep an eye on things & my most vulnerable girls have been looked after within the flock. *sigh* Looks like the pecking order is starting to sort itself out.

Oh yay!! That’s wonderful news! And such a relief.. I can imagine! Thanks for the headache prayers! Perhaps it’s fluid in my ears cuz I have been slightly dizzy and the ringing seems a bit louder :(.. but I think it could most likely be my crazy hormones :tongue.. I hate them!!
Your garden looks lovely :love... and was wondering if there was a separate bottlebrush... I think mine are the bushes... thanks again.. I know who to go to for all things gardening :D

There's quite a lot of different callistimons [the bottlebrush family] & the nut job horticulturalists out here have been busy adding to that by creating hybrids so if you wanted a tree variety you would have to check with your nursery or wherever you buy your plants. They are super hardy. Just your sort of plant.:p I have a couple I'm waiting to put in the ground just now but for really good info you want my hubby. He is a horticulturalist & generally rolls his eyes @ how I go about things.

Waiting to see how my girls organise their morning. This room service bit could wear thin very quickly. :)

Glad you are feeling better. I'm prone to migraines & there's nothing worse...:sick

Oops. Meant to add this. Just for lookies.
