Ribh's D'Coopage

@WhoDatChick: Has your flock settled yet? How's the pecking order going?
I hate to speak it.. cuz the minute I do they know it and make me out to be a lair ... but things are definitely improved.. except for the occasional chase or peck just because I can sort of thing.. and roosting time has become very peaceful.. everyone seems to have their designated spots and all go to them usually without incident! :ya... I’ll have to try and get a pic of that... the big gals get the best spots together.. the middles stay together.. the flowers stay together.. and the Cochins stay together for the most part.. they try to mix in with the big gals IF they allow it! But Lil Red (formally known as Camellia) has taken a secret little spot in with the flowers ... so things are looking up :celebrate.... thanks for asking!

Maleficent and Aurora's eggs are still quite small compared to even Lilly's standard large egg. They are getting bigger each time. I did not take a photo but I laid them ot the other day to be sure. Patience is probably the word of the day. Remember though it is not necessarily a direct correlation between size of the hen and size of the egg.
Yes, this is something I am learning... as I did assume the larger the chicken.. the larger the egg!

This fits in well here...:lau:lau

Sending positive thoughts and imaginary chocolate your way for calming purposes :D:hugs

There is probably at least one person there that will be interested in chickens or native bees or gardens or books. I hope you find them early on!:fl
Thank you ACM. @ some point YD & my mum will turn up. YD is always good value & highly entertaining so it could be worse ~ & DIL is driving me so though that means helping set up, it's one less car cluttering the neighbourhood & I don't have to find the place. :) The chocolate is delicious. Thank you so much; dark, & full of nuts, just the way I like it! ;)
