Hubs and I visited his mum this morning and she gave me a box full of bib and bobs.

One of the things in it was a beautiful Pheasant brooch made with feathers. I thought my lovely chicken friends would appreciate it.

I'm thinking I'd like to collect some of my girls feathers and make some chicken brooches!

Well, one extreme to another. It has been sooo wet both the run the coop are slippery slimy & there is water lying in all the depressions. I have never known the girls to willingly spend so much time in their coop & everyone went to roost really early this evening as well. Normally a little water doesn't faze them but they do not like this. They weren't keen on coming downstairs for dinner so I served it upstairs. There is more rain coming so they'd best get used to it.

I'm not happy with the final row of the border, which is clustered picots, which looks lovely from a distance but is pretty chunky in reality so I am considering...​
