This weekend has been a bit of a mixed bag, the babies are doing great! They got to go out with the rest of the flock yesterday.

The down side of the weekend is Rich's dad is dying. He's on hospice and is slowly slipping away. He's had dementia for many, many years.

That’s great to hear about the babies but sad to hear about Rich’s dad. That would be hard on everyone.

That is the kind of age and size I would be looking to integrate if I was to do it.

It will come. Life cycles. My business and the weather have conspired to help me to spend maximum time with them. Your life will cycle around as well.

Hmmm...Maybe... With 2 small children about to move in our new normal will be anything but. Yes, I will have a little helper ~ 2 once une numero due starts walking~ but somehow I can't see that facilitating things. I foresee a lot of training~ & not just of chickens!

I'm sorry to hear about Rich's Dad. I'm sure that is not easy.

Jeannie, you're gonna have a blast... And just remember, when they show their butts, give them back to Mom. That's what we Grandparents do. We spoil, love and cause trouble and then return to sender.

The romance goes on. I'm pleased for both of them. It has certainly changed Treacle's behaviour towards me. He's spending a lot more time away from the house.
