She's a very big girl & very placid. She's matured into a lovely hen.Just look at that beautiful barred rock. She looks stately.

I love Australorps. Sadly I lost all 3 of mine but they were beautiful girls. I won't replace them as Campines are my delight & I'm moving my flock that way. They get along beautifully with my Wyandotte bantams, who are the most lovely hens. I haven't decided about the Aracaunas. They seem to have attitude issues? @Aussie-Chookmum? You've dealt with them longer than I have.My australorp, Lorpi.![]()
I wouldn't say there isn't a fuss but there's some very determined girls in there & they just hunker down. But remember there's no front on my coop so unless I drop the curtain it's very cool in winter. Snuggling is good. That is amazing to me. I cant get 2 on my giant roost without fuss.![]()
Yes! BRs!!! Such wonderful birds & super layers. They balance out my mad women Campines! My spoiled brat, Norma!![]()
I think you'd love them too. They're big girls though!I’m thinking I need one in my flock!!
She is...well, without wishing to cause offense, very round.Peggy, can you get more round?! Haha love it. She’s a light Brahma![]()
They seem like leghorns to me. Leghorns were not tough. Patience, etc.I'd like to see you with Campines @BY Bob. I think your insights into their madness would be very enlightening!![]()
